The conference was held on 4-6 July 2023 in Birmingham, UK.

The prestigious University of Birmingham organises the Health Services Research UK 2023 conference. It is a space that aims to give voice to UK health services research and brings together professionals and managers working to improve and innovate the NHS health system. The event also brings together international experts interested in health services and health systems research, and health and care professionals engaged in research and innovation in this area to share their work and experiences.

The project manager of Biosistemak (formerly Kronikgune) had the opportunity to present the work carried out in the JADECARE Joint Action, as well as the results and the impact achieved. The project, which ends in October 2023, has worked with the aim of contributing to transforming healthcare systems into innovative, efficient and sustainable systems. The project has successfully addressed the transfer and adoption of four “original good practices” (oGP) to 21 other European “next adopter” (NA) settings. The major challenge of JADECARE has been to transfer proven successful innovations to heterogeneous and complex healthcare settings, adapting the practices to be transferred to local needs, situations, capacities, resources, plans and strategies. As a result, the 21 early adopters have identified more than 150 needs and defined 64 interventions and action plans targeting 4 million European inhabitants.
