Biosistemak presents its work in Cancer Research at the IX CECBE Conference
The meeting, held online on 16 October, brought together professionals to discuss the importance of applying scientific evidence in cancer care.
The IX Conference of the Spanish Centre for Evidence-Based Care (CECBE) is a space designed to bring together professionals trained at CECBE and committed to generating knowledge and innovation in the area of evidence-based health care. CECBE aims to promote, lead and coordinate initiatives that promote evidence-based decision-making in the health services of the State Administration and the health services of the Autonomous Communities to improve health outcomes. This center is coordinated by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III and various Autonomous Communities.
During the conference, Biosistemak presented a poster on the work carried out in the framework of the European Joint Action JANE project to address the challenges for integrating evidence from cancer research into health care. The work presented at the conference consists of a systematic review protocol that seeks to identify barriers and facilitators to the effective integration of scientific evidence in the field of cancer care. This review covers all types of neoplasms (abnormal tissue masses) and is aimed at cancer patients, in order to provide a comprehensive analysis of the challenges in this area.
Commitment to Evidence-Based Care
Sarah Berrocoso, researcher at Biosistemak, has been in charge of presenting the systematic review that has identified gaps in the implementation of scientific evidence in cancer care. The information reviewed and analysed has facilitated the generation of specific recommendations that can promote evidence-based care, thus improving the quality of health services and the health of the population.
Biosistemak‘s participation in the IX CECBE Conference underlines its commitment to improving healthcare through research. With the collaboration of professionals from different areas, the aim is to promote a more effective and evidence-based approach to the management of cancer care, benefiting patients and professionals alike.
